Union members and the First Student school bus company have reached a tentative agreement to avoid a potential strike, the Teamsters union announced Tuesday morning.

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A school bus company and the Teamsters union reached a tentative deal Tuesday that will avert a nationwide strike of 17,000 drivers, including hundreds in Kansas.

The NTSB will investigate the school bus driver's actions, occupant protection and the oversight of school transportation operations.
