Jeff Webb, the entrepreneur who transformed competitive cheerleading into a global industry worth billions, has died at 76 after a fall while playing pickleball.

Jeff Webb, the founder of Varsity Spirit who helped transform cheerleading into an International Olympic Committee-recognized sport and mentored late right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, has died.

Webb founded Varsity Spirit in 1974, widely regarded as the most influential brand in modern cheerleading.
