New York Times national reporter Jeremy Peters breaks down on Morning Joe the state of Michigan’s U.S. Senate race, where some lifelong Democrats are planning to vote for Republican candidate Mike Rogers.
These Democrats may be benefiting as much from Republican weakness and the national environment as from an affirmative embrace of their politics.
Early voting in Texas begins Monday, Oct. 19, and runs through Friday, Oct. 30, ahead of the Nov. 3 midterms. And both Senate candidates, James Talarico and Ken Paxton, are campaigning across North Texas through the final stretch.
Sen. Emil Jones III will face Republican Brian Skala in his first contested general election since he was elected in 2008.
