It's National Fitness Day 🏃‍♀️ The Chester treadmill test is a progressive cardiovascular assessment that we use in the Fire Service to assess fitness... so how does it work? You start by walking on a treadmill at a constant speed of 6.2 km/h, with the incline increasing every 2 minutes: ➡️ Stage 1: 0% incline ➡️ Stage 2: 3% ➡️ Stage 3: 6% ➡️ Stage 4: 9% ➡️ Stage 5: 12% ➡️ Stage 6: 15% ⏱️ The full test lasts 12 minutes, and is monitored throughout to ensure safe and effective performance.
