Every Longarm sewing machine has different maintence needs …. But ZERO brands are immune from needing to oil the hook. Do you have any idea how fast those two pieces of metal spin? They heat up too. My personal recommendation for a a long healthy machine life is a drop of oil with every bobbin change. Then, take a few stitches off the quilt, and simultaneously be sure there is no oil transfer AND check the new bobbin tension at the same time. But NO LESS than a drop of oil per quilting session.
