MODIS Land Cover Classification
A new version of the yearly Combined Aqua/Terra MODIS Land Cover Climate Modeling Grid (CMG) (MCD12C1) dataset (Version 6.1) is now available at NASA's Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC). This product provides spatially aggregated global land cover types. Maps from the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme (IGBP), University of Maryland (UMD), and Leaf Area Index (LAI) classification schemes are provided at yearly intervals at 0.05 degree (5,600 meter) spatial resol
