The making of Enhanced Coanda. What is the Coanda effect? First uncovered by aircraft engineer, Henri Coanda, the phenomenon propels a controlled jet of air at the right speed and pressure to naturally follow an adjacent surface, while entraining surrounding air. We harnessed and miniaturised this in our new Dyson Airwrap™ multi-styler’s barrels, before combining it with our high-pressure V9 motor to allow us to style hair, without the need for extreme heat.
