The “or” digraph is a combination of the letters o and r that together make a special sound — usually /ɔː/ as in “fork”, “corn”, or “storm”. ⸻ 🔤 “Or” Digraph Rule: 📚 “or” usually makes the /ɔː/ sound (like in “horn”) when it comes in the middle or end of a word. ⸻ 🧠 Examples of “or” Digraph Words: • 🌽 corn • 🦊 for • 🌪️ storm • 🐷 pork • 🧙‍♂️ wizard (note the or sound in “or” part) ⸻ 📌 Special Notes: • In American English, “or” is usually pronounced like /ɔr/ or /ɚ/ depending on the word.
