ICYMI: Chatham County's E911 Center transitioned to a new Computer Aided Dispatch system last Tuesday. Following the transition, we heard from some of our public safety-focused agencies around Chatham County, who highlighted how the new system benefits their departments. “Two huge components of safety for the police officers and first responders in general: more information, which is huge, and at the end of the day they’re getting it in real time,” said Garden City Police Chief Gilbert Ballard.

Kudos to our Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Information Technology (IT) techs and dispatchers for adapting and overcoming the challenges of today's CrowdStrike issues. Our dispatch partners had their Mobile Computer Terminals (MCTs) serviced in a drive-through format.
