🧱 Learn how to screed sand for your DIY paver patio for a long lasting result! Achieve paver perfection with these essential steps to properly screeding sand: 1. Prep the Base: Compact your gravel base solid and level with the right slope (about 1/8” per foot for drainage). 2. Set Screed Rails: Lay two 1” PVC pipes or conduit where you’ll screed. These act as guides for your final bedding height (about 1”). 3. Add Stone Chips: Pour ¼” crushed stone chips between and slightly over the pipes. 4.
