I first make a mock up piece of of scraps just to make sure I got it right • I could have built up the trim to be taller in the left but then I’d have 2 different heights of base on each side of the door • Others may have ripped down the base to be the same height but then you gotta do the whole room and you know I don’t like the loo

Dealing with flooring transitions when doing baseboards • There is different ways to do it but I like to do the step down so it keeps the baseboard the same height all the way around. I know some like to rip it down which works as well, but remember the base will be shorter which may make it look different. • This one all the cuts are 22.5°.
