The sound of Sulzer engine in a class 27 locomotive (27056). This locomotive was built in 1962 by the Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Company. It was initially numbered D5401 but was then renumbered to 27112 and then later to 27056. It was withdrawn from BR service in 1987 and entered preservation. It has recently completed a major overhaul and has been given a nice new BR blue livery. It is usually based at the Great Central Railway, but was a guest at the Greatest Gathering in Derby. | A
