New Camera Location! Colorado Model Railroad Museum New Camera Location! This museum is the culmination of a lifelong love of trains that started in Shelbina, MO for David Trussell. The Colorado Model Railroad Museum (started in 2002) is one of the finest, one-of-a-kind miniature accomplishments in the world. All Aboard for Steam Train Rides! 🚂 Join us Friday and Saturday, April 25 and 26, for steam locomotive operations at the Colorado Railroad Museum. The sights and sounds of history came to life this past weekend in Durango as a cadre of dedicated Museum donors climbed aboard for a special excursion over the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (D&SNGRR), pulled by the Colorado Railroad Museum’s iconic Rio Grande Southern (RGS) steam locomotive No. 20.
