Wheeler NW Reserve in Decatur, AL - this is the annual Sandhill Crane Migration. These birds start arriving in November and stay until January-ish. There are tens of thousands of them (at least) during peak times. There is a viewing area at the visitors center and it can get busy at times. But, there are several other viewing spots around the park and lake that offer the same views and a little solitude. Also, check out Cave Springs while you are there.
