From emergency medical technician (EMT) to paramedic to assistant ambulance officer, Nigel Arnold “Ernie” Gooding has dedicated more than three decades of his life to caring for others. Yesterday, his colleagues celebrated his retirement in a ceremony filled with tributes, songs, poetry, gifts, awards, lots of gratitude and love.
