THE HEEL SLIDE 🦵 The heel slide is a great exercise to perform in the early stages of rehabilitation, after knee trauma, surgery, or in cases of knee pain. Why? The heel slide is a Closed Kinetic Chain (CKC) exercise. In CKC exercises, the segment furthest from the body (aka the distal aspect) is fixed. During the heel slide, the foot remains in constant contact with the ground, reducing the shear forces on the knee joint and providing joint stability! What else is great about it? 👌🏻 It helps
