The pipelaying vessel Seven Navica is constantly spooling off and laying batches sections of Fenris pipes offshore on the seabed near the Valhall field. The Subsea 7 Official spool base in Vigra is where the team get ready for the next offshore installation campaign. The pipes are welded together and connected into the “stalks” before being spooled on to the vessel. For the Fenris 14” production pipe here, the reel carries about 12,5 km of pipe on each trip.
