Leaf printing is a little messy, but SO worth it! The best part of this project is getting students past that first leaf print. This is when the magic happens - they start mixing their colors, experimenting more, and really getting into the process. One fun way to prepare for this lesson is to send kids on a scavenger hunt for leaves ahead of time. Then set up a leaf collection station during the project so they can keep experimenting without interruption once that creative momentum builds. And

Leaf printing is such a classic activity and easily accessible for different ages. We also love doing this on paper but we thought we’d switch it up by doing a bit of a collaborative effort on the window. . We used paint sticks for this- they’re a low mess alternative to painting and work really well on glass or a mirror. They worked especially well for leaf printing! For anyone wondering...it comes off easily with a bit of glass cleaner 👍 . Leaf printing works best when the leaves are fresh. P
