Virtual tour day 7: The Wren Library by Terry Johnston This elegant Library, designed by Sir Christopher Wren, was built between 1674-1676 to hold printed books owned by Dean Michael Honywood who bought books on many subjects including a first edition of Milton’s “Paradise Lost” dated 1667 and works by William Byrd. The oldest is a 1468 copy of “The Epistles of St. Jerome”. Honywood bequeathed his collection to the Cathedral which has always been a place of education. | Lincoln Cathedral
