Triggerfish have this sneaky extra fin located on the dorsal of their body, they use this fin to hid in crevices and avoid predators by locking their ‘trigger’ fin into place! The Clown triggerfish. The Clown triggerfish has got to be one of my favourite fish on the reef and is always incredibly relaxed. These little fish have trigger-like spines on the tops of their bodies that will pop when threatened, but they use it more like an anchor than anything else, locking them into small spaces to stop predators from getting to them.
