Here is how I cut a very valuable Walnut tree using a hinge technique. First I trim the sides, which basically makes it narrower and I can cut it all from one side, plus the cutting on a flat surface is much easier to do and stay straight. Once it is bored out I leave my hinge and a release point in the back(trigger) holding.
